Aromas of Chocolate and Roasted Hazelnut with a Hint of Maple Syrup
With our Public A Fair certificated espresso blend, we aim to support local farmers in Peru and Nicaragua produce coffee in a more sustainable manner.
On the foothills of the Andes, eleven Peruvian tribes of the Yanesha, cultivate one of the coffee beans found in our Public A Fair espresso blend. With respect to their natural habitat, the tribes are daily faced with the challenge of keeping profitability, tradition, sustainability and productivity in a healthy balance. They are self-organized and their coffee is certified as organic.
The other coffeebean, selected for this espresso blend, comes from the San Juan del Rio Coco region in Nicaragua. Here, we work with the UCA Union who help their farmers produce profitable and environmentally responsible coffee. Through this, the UCA Union manages to improve the standard of living of the farmers and their families. The cooperative also invests in three big regional projects that focus on replanting coffee plantations and the remediation of water pollution.
