Water is filled in the lower part, then a metal part with the espresso powder is placed on it. As soon as the water starts to boil, water vapor is formed which is slowly pressed through the ground coffee at high pressure to unfold again in the upper chamber as a wonderful espresso. The brewing process is so efficient that the valuable aromas are removed from the ground coffee, resulting in a wonderful espresso. To protect against excessive pressure, the jug has a valve that releases water vapor in the lower chamber if the pressure is too high.
